The role of the Pricing Manager is to provide value added support to Inside/Outside Sales and analyze all price deviations necessary to secure new and existing business while maintaining profitability.  In addition, manage data integrity for standard pricing and annual price adjustments on the Price Maintenance Portal (PMP).

Special Pricing Manager

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  • Maintain sales pricing for all products on the PMP for current plan number and for the next plan number, including transfer pricing exchange rates.
  • Assist Vice President of Business Planning in Annual price adjustment and execution/communication of the new prices to all affected customers.

  • Assist with price book updates and perform periodic audits against purchase cost to maintain profitability.

  • Determine pricing method to integrate all US companies MSRP pricing into the PMP and AX.  Involves pricing newly developed models, determining customer discount coding, managing sales/costs consistency and integrity throughout all US companies.

  • Evaluate special pricing agreements for compliance issues.  Analyze price deviations and propose corrective action.

  • Research cost/price structure and make suggestions to improve revenue.  Analyze and report data to ID issues, trends, and exceptions in order to drive improvement of results/find solutions.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:   

  • Determine MSRP adder pricing for new models and options and update the PMP. 

  • Load new models and model updates on the PMP

  • Routine maintenance and audits of pricing on the PMP

  • Load annual price increases on the PMP 

  • Maintain company MAP program

  • Assist Product Managers with Model activation on the PMP for pricing

  • Support the development and continual improvement of tools, policies, and procedures to enhance the customer pricing experience and business performance. Make recommendations concerning practices and procedures to strengthen internal control and improve efficiency. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Maintain customer discount structures and Guideline pricing in AX.

  • Update parts price list in AX.

  • Follow-up on project inquiries to determine win/loss ratio and reasons for win/loss

  • Update Net price calculator in Q4 of current year for next upcoming year with the € à$ exchange rate as approved by corporate office.

  • Provide guidelines to Sales on margins and selling price based on costs and market intelligence.

     

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial sales and pricing

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a team of 3 or more people

  • Project Management experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must

  • Ability to multitask in a deadline driven environment

  • Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings

  • Knowledge of WIKA products a plus

  • Customer service skills

  • Extremely detail oriented
