Provide product support expertise in the design, application, sales & marketing of Mechanical Products and other assigned products to both inside operations and outside sales team.

Product Manager - Mechanical Products



  • Act as a central liaison and knowledge expert for mechanical product issues.
  • Create and update existing support materials.
  • Develop, support and grow all mechanical product opportunities.
  • Develop new market opportunities, products and customers.
  • Produce or provide technical papers, literature, and training material as required.
  • Provide product training for new employees and group training as required



  • Provide technical support to inside and outside sales, distributors and end-users
  • Be willing to travel in the field for training, sales calls, instrument audits and problem resolution.
  • Listen to and evaluate customer needs for application of instruments. Assist in product selection, or change, as required
  • Develop product positioning that supports all WIKA collateral, including sales presentations, web site content, product brochures, and catalog.
  • Monitor market and competitors, analyze competitive offerings, and develop competitive sales training materials.
  • Work closely with Market Segment Managers to investigate and evaluate new product suggestions and ideas.
  • Facilitate the VOC from initial design through prototype and final marketplace introduction.
  • Provide product launch collateral and required training.
  • Manage projects involving cross-functional teams. This may include determining resources, assigning tasks, creating project timelines, tracking progress against timeline, and communicating project status.
  • Work with marketing department in communications and product support literature to insure the technical accuracy of information.
  • Work closely with the field team to support sales efforts with specific messaging and business cases
  • Monitor market trends to establish competitive pricing levels.
  • Assist in resolution of customer problems when requested.
  • Assist in BOM issues as required
  • Participate in trade shows




  • Support technically the Diaphragm Seal Department
  • Write reports that describe the problem and the solution for gauge difficulties and failure’s in the field.
  • Perform instrumentation audits at end user facilities
  • As needed.



  • 4 year (or greater) College Degree in Mechanical or Electrical (with very good mechanical interest and aptitude) Engineering.
  • 5+ years of industry experience. Can include, engineering, design, technical sales, application support, or a combination of the above.
  • Very charismatic and professional. MUST have the ability to work with employees directly in manufacturing and customers (internal and external) through upper management.
  • Command of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Some exposure to plant operating systems beneficial.
  • Understanding of BOM’s and ECN’s .
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude and be able to speak and apply it in a common sensed, practical manner.
  • Ability to juggle many diversified small and large projects at the same time, while handling day-to-day tasks, such as answering customer calls for technical information.
  • Self-motivated and able to investigate, listen and make decisions based on data presented on new topics not previously known.
  • Ability and interest in taking “Product and Customer Ownership”.
  • Some Travel Involved.
